CHERRY HILL
Illustrations for the project Cherry Hill, A Childhood Reimagined by photographer Jona Frank, about the suffocating pressure of growing up in an environment full of conventions, stereotypes, and social pressure. I created illustrations and surface patterns, “toiles”, depicting episodes from the author’s childhood. These patterns were used to produce fabrics and wallpaper that were part of the physical reconstruction in Los Angeles of the house and surroundings where Jona Frank grew up. Actress Laura Dern played her mother. The project resulted in two books and several exhibitions and art installations.
